H\u0113mi Tapu Church, located in Kelston, is the western base of the Auckland Anglican M\u0101ori Mission. Te M\u012bhana M\u0101ori \u014d Wait\u0101kere has been based in the whare for over 40 years.<\/p>\n

Throughout its history, H\u0113mi Tapu has been closely associated with the Waipareira Trust, providing free services and support for wh\u0101nau of all ages in West Auckland, including health, legal, housing, and education services.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 15 February 2026, the church celebrated the installation of Rev. R\u0101wiri David Rat\u016b as priest-in-charge. An event attended by 140 people, with the Archdeacon of T\u0101maki Makaurau (Ven.
