The reality for many of our whānau is that putting food on the table in this economic climate is challenging enough. We want you to know that there is no pressure to give financially to our church. We recognise and value the many ways people contribute and koha — whether by serving, offering time, or bringing food on Sundays.
But we also need financial support to sustain the work we do and to serve the people of Tāmaki Makaurau. For those able to contribute financially, here’s how you can give.

Each Sunday we take up a cash collection. You can either pop your putea straight into the collection bag, or into an envelope (located by the rear entrance, near the Lady Chapel).

What is a giving number?
Your giving number is a unique identifier that allows us to link your giving to our end of year financial receipts. Once received, these receipts will allow you to claim back 33% of your donation.
How do I get a giving number?
Email the finance team at accounts@temihana.org.nz with your full name and contact phone number and they’ll send one to you.
How do I claim my charity rebate from the NZ government?
At the end of the financial year, we will send you a donation receipt via email. So it is important to please make sure we have your updated email address on file.
You can claim 33.33 cents for every dollar you donate to approved charities and organisations by completing an IR526.
How do I know how my money is being spent?
We are all about transparency, and so every year at our AGM, our financial statements are available, and these are reviewed bi-monthly at our Vestry. For more information – our treasurer can be contacted here: accounts@temihana.org.nz
